Privileged Planet

Saturday, 27 November 2010

at the Metropolitan Tabernacle
Elephant & Castle, SE1 6SD

Chairman: Oliver Wyncoll
MEETING AT 7.00PM
VENUE: METROPOLITAN TABERNACLE

Many scientists and philosophers have claimed that Earth is an ordinary speck of dust adrift, without purpose or significance, in a vast cosmic sea. Yet current astronomical evidence points to the opposite.

We now know that a rare and finely tuned array of factors kakes Earth suitable for complex life - its oxygen-rich atmosphere, its large moon, its planetary neighbours, and its precise location within the solar systen and Mily Way galaxy. Using interviews with leading scientists and spectacular images, this film explores our privileged place in the universe, and provokes the question - What is the purpose of life?

Medical doctor Ted Williams will give a fascinating overview of these key men and their failings and contradictions, to show that the Christian analysis remains the only credible explanation of human personality and life.
